The balls used in the sport are the character's own heads, which you can detach from your body and regenerate.

How was your experience with Mini Jam?
Great! I didn't have time to polish, but I still feel good about both the theme and limitation. This is also the first game jam I officially finish, I attempted 2 before this one, both of which I over-scoped and couldn't finish in time.

I have two complains. First, there is no main menu, you open the game and your instantly in the game. Two, there is no tutorial or indications. But still a fun little game!
Really cool idea!
Has potential, but is difficult to control. Much easier with the gamepad though!
There was what seemed like a bug where if I scored with no head, I'd get stunned.

I feel dumb, but how do I catch and throw a ball?
you need to be close and facing the dropped ball to be able to pick it up, then you can click Z to take it and Z to throw! The controls are on the main itch.io page, but basically Z to pick up & throw, X to separate & regenerate head, F5 to restart
