I used to work with SFML, cool to see it pop up again! Mad respect, it's not always easy.
Cool game! I'll second the jump being a tad fast, but you had some really solid game design in how you introduced obstacles. First the apple, then the snake, then both etc. Music was nice, graphics were easy to read. Great job, enjoyed playing!
Thanks for playing my game! I started using SFML just a few weeks ago. I made the games for all my previous jams using game engines (Godot, Unity and Unreal), but I really enjoy working with SFML. :)
The amount of times I got to the top and died to the last apple by instinctively walking straight into it... I'm always a fan of a game that takes universally pre-established game rules (apples = good) and twists them like that. Good game, but I found the jump to be a little to high for the confined space. A solid entry!

Your game is well made. I found the jump a little fast, but nothing else was a problem. Except I keep trying to pick up those darn apples.

Thanks for trying my game. SMFL is a C++ library. It is less easy to use than an actual engine but gives you more control. :)
