Use of the limitation
The myth/legend/folklore is geomancy, which is a form of divination akin to astrology, tarot or bone reading. In Geomancy Solitaire we use it to drive the board state and card drawing for the solitaire part of the game.

Cookies eaten
Do Jaffa Cakes count? If yes then a whole box. No shame.

Very polished and attractive. Even though I read the instructions, I found myself having trouble getting cards to move. I think if you added some way to indicate a card was already selected (highlight, bounces or something) it would help a lot. I liked the idea of the pattern cards.

Developer

Thank you for the feedback, the card movement definitely needs polish.

Needs more UX (highlights, outlines, drop shadows) to indicate when cards are selected and when moves are not available. I ended up with 4 stacks and a Jack - and couldn't complete the game because I couldn't place a 10 of spades onto the jack of hearts (also got the sound effect for a completed stack, without having this jack in it). The myth/legend/folklore angle was a bit weak too, but maybe you could explain it better in game? Congrats on the submission!

Developer

Thanks for the feedback! Definitely agree on the UX, focus was on getting the loop complete as I only joined the jam on Sunday.

card game is initially confusing but functional. it was occasionally hard to connect the cards but eventually got myself to this point. not sure if i did something wrong or if there is no win condition but it was fun.

Developer

Definitely a bug, will look into it and patch it, there should always be 2 card lefts due to the jokers being there so something definitely went wrong.

Simply amazing. It looks very professional and I love the unique concept.

Very polished game, this is amazing. I don't have anything else to say other than great job!

Very charming game. The concept was creative too.

It has been a while since I last played solitaire so I had to look at the rules online :)

Keep up the good work!

The presentation of the game is positively stunning, it looks like a game ready to ship at a professional level, i don't know if i'm dumb but i really didn't understand what was i supposed to do other than press "next card"
other than that a really beautiful game, good job

Thanks for the feedback! Much appreciated.

I made the wrong assumption most people would be familiar with the gameplay of solitaire games, I have updated the game page to explain how it works.
