I beat the first three levels but the last one is too punishing for the amount of waiting you have to do for platforms and lasers. The game has cute graphics (I like the files in the background), the plot motivated me to keep playing, and the character feels good to control.  It was fun and satisfying making progress and beating levels, though I think if it was just less unforgiving and gameplay relied less on waiting for things to happen it would be even better!

I really like the sounds and graphics. But I would like to see some save points in the levels, because the game is quite difficult, you have to play almost perfectly, and at the same time too much time spent waiting for platforms, which is boring, losing fun.

But overall game is good, implementations of the theme and special object are here. Well done!

A simple yet challenging platformer with great art and solid music as well. I do agree with some of the other comment saying that it could be pretty tedious. Specifically some of the platforms moving really slowly makes the punishment for dying pretty brutal. Having to wait 10-15 seconds for a platform to come to me each time I die can get a little frustrating. My only other critique is that it would have been nice to have a little more control over the jump height. On what I'll call "level 2" (being the second from the left), You start near the top of the screen and have to jump on a platform as it moves towards you. I kept overshooting/undershooting because I was forced to jump at max height and couldn't see where I was going.

I probably played for about 30 minutes tried all 4 levels, beat 2 of them, and came extremely close to beating the one on the far right. Overall though, I had a lot of fun playing this game and think that the four of you that worked on this should be very proud of what you made for your first game jam. Great Job!

Thank you so much for the detailed feedback! I'm the one who was responsible for level design and really appreciate it - it's my first endeavour in making platformer levels. Yes, looking back I agree that the traveling platforms should be more satisfying to use instead of punishing and tedious. If we keep working on Bit Princess, I'll definitely try my best to fix these issues!

Very challenging, but some great level design on display. Some of it is pretty tedious, though. Still a great submission nonetheless!

Very charming sprite and animation. Though I think it is a little bit too hard.
