As far as I understand you need to fall out of the screen exactly below a chain to attach to it. But after I do that 2 times I die. I don't think I get it :(
You didn't fully understand the idea of the game. When you press spacebar, you detach from all the chains, and to start colliding with them, you have to stop pressing spacebar. So, you have to be partially inside of the next chain, and then stop pressing the spacebar, so that your chain and other one will connect.

Super satisfying and fun game! The only criticism I would have is that the mechanics could have been tutorialized a bit better, but other than that, fantastic game!
