This fun and that look nice, the pawn is the easiest, is it the difficulty selection settings? :D
Hi!
The game looks good, the animations a nice. The music is nice too. The gameplay is a bit weird, I ended up spamming the attack button because I could not figure out the size of my attack hitbox.
The concept of choosing a character with specific stats is great even tho for now it is far better to choose the fastest one.

The art is cute. The gameplay is clunky. I couldn't reliably connect any attacks. The chess theme could have probably been played up a little more.
Creative but it could have used a little more polish.
