Any tips on finishing a game when I barely have any time left?

This is my first game jam so I kind of miscalculated how much time it would take and tried to make a project too ambitious, so now I'm stuck with a game that's not close to done. I think I'm gonna try to cut some corners and maybe take out parts of the game. Anyone have any tips for creating something to submit really quick?

I came to that realisation at the end of day one itself, and so was able to cut in a way which would not make stuff look shoddy. I'd simply recommend cutting the entire game down for now to what is already implemented, and cleaning that up, and do the bare minimum outside it.

Try to manage your time into tasks, ordering from most to least important! It helped me out a lot! I recommend "Trello"

Imagine that you have to send the game in 5 minutes, you only have time for making a basic menu with a play button, so do that and then make a list from the most important things to the least, so you can make small changes but the game keeps finished
