Do we have to understand "dimensions" as 2D/3D only? Or can we interpret it as we want? For example, can we instead of doing 2D/3D conversions, elaborate on the subjects of sizes, timelines, and "fantasy" dimensions (like parallel worlds)?

I know its too late now but i think the idea was to take a game element from one area (dimension) and put it in another. The YouTube video attached to the game jam explained it a bit better.
