It is quite an engaging game with good combat, although there’s no objective or end goal. It quite polished with nice colorful effects and good player feedback, it feels satisfying to attack with different weapons, each having its own different feel which I find very impressive. I liked that each weapon builds up charge and unleashes its own unique power once it becomes full. In particular, the giant beam was really cool and satisfying to release, and the spinning axe can even be set in place while the player does other things to wreak havoc. I can’t think of any criticism other than the lack of things to do and it gets repetitive, which is of course, due to the time limit of the game jam. Great work!
Thank you, sir, for your kind comments! I am glad you enjoyed my game. Perhaps once the jam is over I shall continue the project for a while longer to add some real goals, since this game was really fun to make!
Pretty cool! I like the scene transitions, and the music felt really fitting. The graveyard I started in was really cool too!
Nice job!
Nicely done, love the super powered lance. Is there more to do than just killing the enemies? I wasn't able to find a shop to use my coins at ):
Nope, that's where I had to cut it - there was going to be a shop to upgrade the weapons to do more damage, a banker to help save you from losing so many coins on death so you can afford such weapons, and unlockable areas with harder enemies and other goals, but these didn't make it in time. At the moment the game is just about having fun killing enemies and maybe trying to see how many coins you can earn without any heart drops (because these also didn't make it in time XD)
Ah, the dreaded deadline. Maybe you could implement these things after the rating period. All in all fun to play look forward to your future works
