The procedural generation is something that really made the game engaging. With more polish and more interactions, it would be a game that I would totally pay for!

The dungeon generation was very cool and the layout seemed relatively procedural. The TBS combat could do with some balancing because getting into a fight with those spiders was instant death. Definitely some potential! :)

I love the name and the environments are cleanly layed out. I feel the turn times get overly long, particularly if you find a bunch of spiders. I feel that the core is a solid idea that currently is getting a bit lost under the typical issues of jam-games, but with more time it could be polished or learned from for the next time. Good effort :)

I like the idea (I never played hunt the wumpus, but I think this brings the concept to a higher level) and the look. But there are too many bugs that work against my engagement (or I might not understand the concept fully):

  • sometimes it shows a bridge to the south, but it is not usable (if you're already followed thats a deathtrap)
  • at some point in the game the sfx/audio hints stopped, the music went on, but the sfx stopped fully and I was screwed

It would help to have a possibility to speed up the turns.

I think the game has potential and could be very engaging, if you refine it after the jam.
