Nice world! I included it in my Movie Game Jam compilation video series, if you’d like to check it out! :)

Thanks for playing!

Took some time to understand, but once I did, it was really fun solving the puzzle. Really interpreted the movie well. I loved the graphics, the audio and the whole concept of the game.

Great job!

Thank you so much!

I'm glad you enjoyed!

This was a very atmospheric entry!
(thought it *seems* that audio content may have been predefined?)
Either way, great graphics and execution.
I have to admit that I couldn't figure out the code either.
I too would've preferred to take the notes with me (else why have an inventory?).
But I also approve of your attempt to get players to "write down" notes, like the good ol' days (tho I have to admit, I screenshot'd them & it *still* didn't help me!)
Overall, an impressive game under the time constraints - good luck! :D

Thanks a lot for your comments!

About the audio content I have not created it (if that's what you mean), they are libraries that I already had a long time ago.

Regarding the notes and the inventory, I'm working in a small update to be able to add the notes to the inventory and consult them at any time.

Thanks again for playing and rate!

What a great looking game. wow. I think my capture might have lagged (old hardware :| ) I could not figure out the code I needed to get into the underground area and I am in a time crunch trying to review all the other games. nice work! The background noise was really creeping me out.

Developer

Thanks for the video!
I'm glad you like it and if you want to play it again you can change the quality options for a more fluid experience ;-)

It was fluid on my end just the stream was choppy. Trying to figure out what went on but it's a nightmare to google.

That's awesome - the ambience, the puzzle, the loneliness, leafs falling from trees, final release.

My main complaint - a lot of tracing back 'n forth checking the hints. I want to take them with me and lookup them from my inventory.

Overall impression - good stuff!

Developer

Thanks for your kind words!

Regarding to add the hints to the inventory it's a good idea but I wanted the player was writing in paper the code like the old adventure games.

Nice work!  Really fantastic graphics and atmosphere (good sound!)  No idea how much of those you actually made but definitely put to good use.  You definitely have talent, this was really nice for a jam game.

Just a heads up (this doesn't actually make a difference in figuring out the code), but your mathematical expression in note III is wrong ( you have 6 + 6 * 0 = 0 but it would be 6 unless its (6 + 6) * 0)  Sorry I'm such a pedant, ignore me, cool game!

Developer

Thanks for playing, I'm glad you like it!

And thanks for your feedback about note III, you're right, it has been an error due to the rush... I'll fix it.

What a well designed project ! Exploration, reflection, ... all in assets pleasantly created/arranged very close to the film. The scene is interesting to play, because it is only suggested in dialogue, but not put in pictures : we have here the opportunity to feel the disarray of "The First One". The gameplay is convincing, the whole is logical: it's always good to have such games in Game Jam, to offer something different than the usual arcade / platform games. The project obviously deserves to be deepened, to make a nice interactive introduction to the triology of films. Well done !

Developer

Wow! Thanks for this detailed comment!
