There's not a single cloud in the sky. In fact, it's crystal clear. The sun is shining (and also smiling!) Flowers are blooming. But don't get too comfortable because the background music is the only thing in this game that won't lie to you. And once you hear that unnerving tune, you realize today won't be an easy day here in Ms Paint Town...
'The Mayor has been Murdered' you exclaim. And so, a detective saga begins.
Just like in any other good detective story, the murderer here is obvious from the very beginning, yet you can never tell who it was until the end. (spoiler: it's Dylan!!! and I guess that's why there's that third option available in the first interaction with him)
Jokes really match the quirky atmosphere and general cartoonish vibe, which is also complemented by the Johneo Testeo cameo. Another thing I enjoyed was jumping into a bottomless pit. This game now definitely belongs in my personal Top-10 games with bottomless pits.
As for the problems, I find the speech sounds way too loud and not very pleasant to hear when they are looped during the dialogues. I also think the game could really benefit from having more sound effects. Appropriate sounds would absolutely improve the overall mood and feeling of the game (something like this definitely could play while you're jumping into the pit!)
I also want to point out how the game pays attention to small details, like the pit supervisor saying a different line after you've returned from the pit well and alive or Bill telling Dylan he has already seen the body if you have decided to check on the mayor first. It's pretty cool!
Well, I hope Vinny's in a better place now.

Classic murder mystery of our generation with a gripping twist. The art style is the icing on top of the cake.
