I decided to go with the optional theme of "Water". So with that I thought of a game, which is like a clicker, where rain is falling out of the sky and you have a glass to collect the water, and spend it on  better stuff.

My progress will be streamed on Twitch: https://www.twitch.tv/trubadger

(not streaming)

Day 1

Didn't get much done this day.

I got the player movement down and had water falling out of the sky which gives you points, along with that I streamed.

Hopefully the next day I can make it so the glass can't go off the screen.

Day 2
Day 2

Finally, day 2 has came. Here, some visual effects have been applied to make the game look better.
Rain has been added along with clouds.
The text for the droplets has been changed to look nicer.
Now you can't let the glass go off the screen.
Finally, when you press E, a button pops up for your button needs!

oh whoa that's kind of cool! like you can get more barrels or larger barrels?? or like factories to collect barrels?

if you plan to stream during the jam you should definitely mention what your schedule will be! (or when you next plan to stream at the very least!) you can also drop a link in the discord when you start.

Yea it's somewhat going to be like that, and I will probably just drop a link in the discord for streams. Thx for responding btw!

The title hooked me and this looks like a lot of fun! Excited to see how it develops.

wow great progress so far! i really like how the rain looks.

also--feel free to post your updates as replies to the thread. it will bump your thread to the top of the community and also allow readers to scroll through your project as it progresses. devlogs can serve as a kind of diary.

Thx! I didn't know that I could do that.

Day 3

I didn't get much done today.

Nothing really worthy of a screenshot. All I did was edit the UI a bit.

Day 4

Day 4 has came and went!

Today I worked on the UI.

I spent a few hours making it and trying to make it look good, so hopefully I succeed.

Now you can click on the button to get extra water droplets per rain drop. Also right by it is an information tab which tells you about it and what it does.

Hopefully day 5 is good.

Day 5

I didn't do much today. All I did was get the audio clips ready for the buttons and added an extra upgrade to purchase.

Day 7
