Local Multiplayer Character Select Screen

Hi guys! This is my first Dev Log. This is the character select screen. The start game is still not done because the person working on the map is still working on it. The UI is really crappy because i just threw it on there.

I still don't have the 3D models. But each player are going to have different meshes. And they can choose what color they want to be.

I might replace the buttons to change color in to a slider and add 1 button to kick the player out. So there isn't a mess on the screen.  I thought the click here to join was creative I don't even know how I figured it out. And it actually works. So if you only click to add player 1. Only player 1 will be in the game. I think its neat lol. I also liked how I can choose my name.

Thanks for reading, tell me what you think.

UPDATE! New Characters, Implemented a camera a pickup and death system. Game name is finally chosen. Music is finished too

I added new characters. There will be around 16 characters and you can change the skin for each one. I added coin system, a death system, and a local multiplayer camera system. It works with with 4 players and updates depending how many players so if one person dies.

We also have the music for the game. The environment is synced with the song and the players are running away from the fire and avoiding death.

SONG!

this is a really cool menu!! honestly placeholder meshes + UI are totally cool for prototyping. not sure if this is intentional but with this setup it seems like players can choose random numbers? ie player 4 and 2 though it seems like games typically will auto add 1 then 2 etc. either way it's a really great menu prototype!

When they add a player, it doesn't really matter what player they are. The game automatically chooses the next controller available.

I've updated the menu and the start button is done. Its honestly way better. I will post in a bit. Thanks for commenting

gotcha! just wanted to throw that out there in case players ended up in a game with random numbers haha. looking forward to seeing more!
