Hiya! Candy here! I've been working on this since the day after the jam began, but am only posting a devlog now because... well,  to be honest, I hadn't really thought of it until now.

Anyway! My game is "Murder on the Single's Cruise," a murder mystery dating sim where anyone you romance has the potential to be a killer. And the killer is randomly selected at the start of every game, so it's not always the same person.

So far I've gotten the basic mechanics of selecting a killer, pulling from a pool of appropriate clues for said killer, and a tiny bit of writing done. All of the art I'm using is royalty-free stock art because art is not my forte.

I have an opening cutscene, though YT compression makes it look worse than it does in the game: https://youtu.be/FJue_kxqoQs

There's currently no music but I have had a music composer express interest in possibly working with me on this project, so we'll see where that goes!

I'm almost certainly not going to have a full game by the time the jam is over, I'm not making progress nearly fast enough for that.

I'll leave you with the main menu screen. Thanks for reading!

I'm not an expert on Dating Sims, but I like the random element to the game. I'm using something similiar in mine to randomly generate the environment, so it can be different every time.
