This is such a gorgeous game, a straightforward concept and immediately accessible play structure, but with a really rich setting, mostly just implied in the prompts but with tons of room to flesh out a complex world of conflict and hope.
Bonus: my kids cannot get enough of Dragon Dowser! Having been a tabletop gamer for some 30 years, cultivating the next generation is high on my agenda, and we've tried various games with kids aged 4-6. The older comes back to Dragon Dowser again and again -- we play it as a duet game, with additional cards on the table and two (allied? rival?) dowsers looking for two eggs, and we are talking through the prompts rather than writing them, but the replay value is fantastic. Even coming across the same prompts in successive games leads to new ideas about whose these characters are, what struggles they face, and why they do what they do. Highly recommended -- whether you're a fan of solo gaming or whether you've got young ones to introduce to narrative games!
