Scaling

Hi, Shovel Knight uses NES specs of 256x240 and after drawing pixel assets at this size scales it by a factor of 4.5 so the height fits a HD screen. As long as we start with the correct specs can we scale the assets so they fill the screen? Thanks.

I’m pretty sure this is fine. I do not know for sure though so don’t take my word for it. Good luck on the jam!

I mean, expecting a player to change their display resolution just to play the game would be an insane restriction. I'm sure the resolution is a view WxH and not an actual resolution.

True. Thanks.

I use the pixel perfect camera to change the resolution without actually changing the display resolution. i suggest everyone does the same, because it works really well.
