This game definitely has the sort of colourful nature you’d expect to see from the NES. Cute, charming even.
I think I would appreciate more jump control here, but I think the biggest thing keeping me from enjoying this game is that if you jump too high, you just die with nothing around you. If this is intentional, i’d love to see some kind of indication of what the maximum height is. If it isn’t, that’s the sort of bug that sends players away.
Nice work
I like the visuals of this game. It looks really good.
I enjoyed the straight-forward challenge. It reminds of an early NES / arcade game (that's a good thing), but with better graphics! I like the style. The music is nice, but I'd prefer a longer, less repetitive loop.
Overall, I enjoyed it. Good job!
The game is really nice. I like the art a lot and animations are cute. The thing you could have done is maybe also change color palette on clouds and birds as well, so it doesn't look to repetitive. Also I wish there were some powerups to use for killing those damn birds :) . I hope you will continue to iterate on some more ideas and make it even better. Overall, I had a lot of fun playing this and I think you made a good game!
Keep up the good work!
Solid art and everything is packaged together nicely. I had a heck of a time dodging those birds! I do wish there was more traction when moving on the ground though.
