• Quit and pause buttons!! I always get very excited when those are available in small games, good thinking! It was a very fun way to do word puzzles, I liked bouncing all over the walls to make words. Great way to apply the connections theme as well, having to connect all the letters in the right order to form increasingly complicated words. My only issue with the gameplay was how drastically faster the ball started going when touching a wall, even in earlier levels! If you want to make it a factor of difficulty, maybe make it increase in speed — therefore increasing the movement challenge — as levels go on, not within a single level unless indicated very clearly by an item or something of the sort. It can get confusing and even frustrating to have almost the full word and lose because all of a sudden the ball tripled in speed right by another letter and it was impossible to change direction in time. I would in general avoid having the walls be the increasing factor, and bring back my mention of items in order to implement a speed change! I think that would make the earlier levels more welcoming. The game didn't lose any time getting to the point, and pushed the gameplay as far as it could, I'll admit to getting addicted to it at some point and forgetting to stop. It didn't need to be heavy on the details and it wasn't, keeping things clear and organized to help gameplay take the center stage! Whether intentional or not, it was the right decision and shows that you understand the priorities when creating a small game.
