- Very engaging game! Will note that you have a typo on your page where it says ".fihgt" instead of, I assume, ".fight" ;) Your trained AI is very fluid, it felt like playing against someone that was truly thinking, and that's always very important in this arcade-style gameplay so the player doesn't feel either too strong or too weak in comparison! It did get somewhat confusing to play as pyro, since the enemy dot is also orange, but it wasn't too much that I lost enjoyment. The simple design of the characters and maps really helped give this a retro feel, and the music/sound effects brought everything together very neatly! Had I not known this was a 7-day jam game, I wouldn't have suspected given the polish present in the final result! I wasn't able (at least on web) to go back to the main menu after completing a fight, and I would find an extra way to differentiate the enemy from the player dot in case of doubling up attributes, but the gameplay was well paced, well balanced, and fun!

Music goes way hard. Also the gameplay is really fun. The intensity is really off putting for a game about 2 balls fighting. A game I will play when needing blood pressure increase.

Fascinating twist on the topic, really like the out of the box thinking here.
The part that impressed me the most is the opponent's AI. The music was also quite enjoyable. While playing, I couldn't help but nod my head to the rhythm. Good job!
I faced a few minor problems: In the second map, there are times when you or the AI can spawn outside the map with no option to restart the match. The abilities seem a bit uneven; some dots are quite challenging to use, whereas others (like magic, for instance) are very easy but don't provide a truly rewarding experience.
All things considered, this game has much potential, especially if you consider adding a multiplayer feature.Well done!

We originally planned on making this multiplayer and settled on making an AI for the Jam.
We are aware of the bug on map two but lacked the time to bug fix it before the deadline. And we will work on balancing the dots abilities, we just tried to get the concept out there for people to play.

Looks and sounds very cool. However I had a bad experience in the browser, and as I am using Mac I can't test the desktop version. I am curious what ML algorithm did you use to train the ai??

I used PPO algorithm. It took me a long time to figure out how to train it properly, and even longer to actually train it π
I went ahead and made a MacOS build for you. Please give it a proper playtest, sorry for the bad experience π
I cannot test the Mac build since I don't own one. Please let me know how it plays π
Cool game! The different dots allow for cool ways to play the game. Playing on the web build, I found that I was not able to go back to the main menu, probably a bug to do with unity using compiled web code, which is fine, overall, great graphics and replayability.

Yeah unfortunately the Web build is slow. I included a PC build that doesn't have this issue!

In the second map I found a bug, the enemy spawned near the bottom of the map and fell out of the window, never coming back.
Anyway really nice concept, the fact you can choose different characters adds replayability, well done!

The AI was impressive here! I loved how it climbed, dodged and fired at you, it was challenging! The art was simple but cohesive!

I love the look and vibe of this, unfortunately when I'm playing (Chrome browser on a Chromebook) it's running at an incredibly low frame-rate that prevents playing it properly :/ I'm sure it's an issue at my end since no one else has mentioned it. Hopefully I'll be able to try it on different hardware because I love the aesthetic and concept!
Yeah, that's definitely not right. Works for me just fine in chrome. Maybe it's the Chromebook that's slow?
Thanks for the feedback though, the levels are not visually how we want them to look, but the menus aesthetic is something we wanted feedback on.
