  • Easy to grasp, but maybe a little too simple. It would have added a lot to make the asteroids move even on a set path to make it a bit more challenging. I also discovered that if you stay at the top of the map, you basically never hit anything which isn't ideal if you want to keep the player engaged. As a concept though, clear and to the point like you've done is how it should be for such a short project! I liked the set up! Trying to reconnect the system by reaching the satellite was a fun concept, and it was just enough to contextualize gameplay in a way that made sense and integrated all the separate elements. It also followed the theme really well and didn't ask too much of the player from the get go. The game ran smoothly and without issue! I was able to play through easily, though I wasn't sure whether or not reaching the satellite took me to a new level or back to the beginning which made it confusing to know if there was an ending. I think there would be a benefit to find or create a spaceship asset for the player-controlled icon, so it's in line with the rest of the setting and not just an arrow on the screen. I really enjoyed the trail animation behind it, but it gave more of a shooting star effect than a spaceship. Trying to keep everything cohesive helps solidify immersion, even at such a simplified level — if you look at old games, that's what gives them their undying charm! The lack of music or any sound, as well as having no indicator of progression, sometimes made it feel like nothing was happening.

I played the game and it's a nice concept you have for sure! You should definitly expand on it! Cause it still needs alot of polish like music and sounds and a bit more ambiance! Also the game is bit too easy, there is lack of progression in difficulty.
