  • When I started playing, it felt a lot like old-school snake, so imagine my delight when it had a little twist. I love the added complexity of making a path that didn't hinder your future self too much, but having no choice with the nodes so far from each other. I think this adds a unique element to an otherwise simple game, and it still keeps with the theme of the jam. The game runs smoothly, I didn't have any issues playing. I did try running it full screen on my computer and it did lag a little, so it was impossible to win becuase I'd run into something(?) invisible. The controls are intuitive and easy to figure out. There was slightly confusion after picking up the first blue diamond about where to go, but the consistent colors helped with that. I wasn't sure what the timer was meant to do, though. I thought I'd die if ran out, but it only seemed to make me go a bit faster. That probably needs to be signposted better, or changed, because I'm not sure what that is for other than throwing the player off (if that's your goal). The simple colors stand out on the screen and that's all you really need for this game. Your "how to play" section does call out two blue diamonds, but your starting node is red (unless you go over it again). I think you should keep it red to help differentiate. Overall, a simple game done right. I enjoyed playing it.

It really gave me snake vibes haha! Tho it's a good challenging game to work on your momentum! I liked the music and sounds effect! Tho one question what was the tiimer for cause it didn't do anything?

Thanks for checking the game out. The timer adds a small speed boost to the player.
