This was such a fun way to reflect and do some creative writing! There were a couple of times where I felt ready to move the narrative forward but the cards I drew felt like they were keeping me back a little.
I loved playing this game! The prompts are interesting, and the atmosphere it creates during play is incredible. You can find a streamed play through of this game on my Youtube channel!
Having never played a solo rpg before and loved the idea of being trapped on a snowy mountainside, I thought I would give this game, which is well thought through, with clear instructions and a dread filled rpg, a play!
It was better and more isolating and dread inducing than I thought it would be, so very well thought out and cleverly put together, loved the option of having tokens rather than a toppling tower, firstly as I don't have one and secondly I don't think my nerves would have taken it. I will read through the diary entries I have made through the game and put more of my thoughts into it, I am sure it will make for a spooky thriller.
I am looking forward to playing it through again to see the different outcomes.
This was my first solo game and I'm hoping it will be the first of many. I absolutely adored the atmosphere and the tension and the numerous types of terrors to experience, be those related to the horrors of winter and weather, potential supernatural ones, or frayed relationships with friends. The idea of sharing your experience through "found footage" is also absolutely inspired, as well as, of course, sharing it through journal. I cannot recommend this game highly enough! I will definitely be playing it again and seeing if I get a different ending for my character than the last one.
