This is a good idea, and fun to play

Nice little game :) I like the idea of stopping the robots to use them as platform. Rotating the character and the robots is odd, but somehow manageable.

The graphics are cute and the idea is good. What I think would really improve the experience is flipping the player and enemies using the middle of their sprite as the sprite origin / anchor.

In any case, congratulations for making the game! :)

The controls are a bit rattly. And in the first level the platform said goodbye after several tries.

Anyway the graphics are great and the adherence to restriction is good. Good job! :)

Congrats on finishing! :-D

Great game for your first game jam game! You should be proud! I'm not proud of my submission though https://retrorealms.itch.io/nokia-pirate

The only problem is that turning around feels weird, good idea thought

Controls are a little jank but I do like the idea. If the player was a little less speedy in his jump and fall and when you turn you turn on the spot, I'd be down to play more. Could do without the jump sound though. That hurts the ears

Great idea but character movement is not precise enough. Needs polish. That's all. (also nokia3310 was monophonic it would not play music and sfx simultaneously)

The idea is cool. The platforms/robots were a little buggy but with a little fine tuning you could expand on this and make it into a full game.
