Great job submitting a game! Really impressed you decided to give a tower defense game a shot with this strict of resolution + colors. You have the basics down and I like how the placement of the towers really matter here. There is no room for error in first placements which may be a double edged sword since you have to wait for the game to restart. But I love the menu intro!
I think the space could've been used a little better to give the ui a little more clarity and give the player some more information / direction on how the game should be played. That would've helped me pick up the game faster. It took me a few tries to pass the first level. The second level was pretty easy but at the end it was a nail biter with my towers killing the enemy offscreen before it registered that it got past which was a great moment! Thanks for participating!
I’ll see if I can do something with the UI to make it clearer, there’s a lot of empty space because there were supposed to be more and more detailed maps but I ran out of time…
Thanks for the super detailed feedback, it’s incredible that you’re still reviewing these in June :D it was fun, thanks for hosting!
Really Cool Game. I Would Like To Be Able To If Lost On The 2nd Level Contine On The 2nd Level! I Love The Game And Really Fun To Play. Amazing Game Overall
I was able to beat the first map after I figured out the controls and strategy, but the second one is beyond my abilities. Figuring out the strategy to the two maps is fun, though I do wish you had the option to skip to the second map after beating the first. The added background music is simple, but a nice touch. Overall, this was fun, and it's impressive that you coded it with a custom-built engine!
I think the instructions would be more helpful if they included the price of each action and mentioned that the towers have a square range and target the closest enemy. None of that is fun to learn in a game that's this slow-paced.
Was the screenshot of the second map taken from the same build that was published? I'm not sure how you could last long enough for a third tower with that placement. The arrangement I managed to win with had the upgraded tower in a different spot and used a different part of the map after spamming the corner.
Thanks for playing! The cost of construction or upgrade is shown in the top-right but it might not be obvious enough. The targeting is based on traditional Tower Defense games so I didn’t go into detail on it. Well spotted on the screenshot, that’s from a development build that sends a continuous stream of the same creeps that I used to test the map, maybe I should change it if it’s misleading.
Thanks for the feedback and congratulations on beating the game! 🎉
Thanks for playing ☺️ I tweaked that first wave with maths so that every second counts. The second one is a bit less polished but also doable, did you manage it?

Really neat game! I included it in my Nokia 3310 Jam 4 compilation video series, if you’d like to take a look. :)

a cool game, getting past the first stage felt like an achievement, being able to figure out the best placement for your turrets.
