Great job submitting a game! I love these types of games that have a mechanic that does two things at once. I hadn't heard of Switch-n-shoot until reading the comments, but it looks like you did a good job de-making it to Nokia restrictions in such a short time! My two favorite upgrades were the bigger bullet and the laser. The laser offered a really nice break for a short period. I think this game would've been perfect for turning a Nokia sideways for that extra vertical real estate in 48 x 84.
I liked how the enemy would sometimes stick around at the bottom limiting the space I had to maneuver. Later in the game, when things got hectic, especially when I had the big bullet upgrade, I would lose track of my ship for a second but sometimes that cost me my life. Not sure if its just me or something could be done visually to help. My highest score was 992 with 100% kill and 30% accuracy(lol). I had a lot of fun playing! Thanks for participating!
Thank you for the awesome feedback and glad you had some fun with my game entry. I had a absolute blast writing it; I dip in and out of game development and for some reason was compelled to enter my first ever game jam. I'm going to enter again next year. Thanks again 😊
Seems like you were influenced quite a bit from Switch-n-shoot lol. Regardless, this is a very fun arcade game. Visuals were nice and clean and the game is damn fun.
Strong entry! Great implementation of "upgrade" theme along with pleasant audio and visuals - well balanced and polished game. I really enjoyed the last shooting upgrade, felt like a jackpot :D

Fun little game! I included it in my Nokia 3310 Jam 4 compilation video series, if you’d like to take a look. :)
Awesome, thank you for playing it and including it in your compilation video series 😊.

Yeah, Switch-n-shoot was 100% my inspiration for this. Glad you had some fun with what I made. Thank you 😀
