Hehe these guys are just funny lil goobers having a good time :) Probably not the intended way, but when the ball is in the middle starting position it’s easy to hold right and clip it past the other chick to score lol.

Unwanted behavior but that's how it is. Not sure if I'll be able to change that so easily but I can check. A little glitch in favor of the player is often okay I heard ^^'

It took me a while to get the hang of it, but once I did, oh boy this thing is fun!
It's very simple yet I don't feel like it needs anything else. If this game existed back when I was a kid, I would play it non-stop.

I really love these kinds of games. For a game made in 8 hours, this is really impressive! I did noticed that you could press the space key to skip the countdown, but regardless, it's really fun :)
Thanks! Indeed I forgot to add a condition to prevent pausing/unpausing the game while the countdown is running. I'll provide a fix once voting period ends.

The chicks are really cute and the IA is a little tricky at first, but soon you get to think of strategies for each kickoff spot that work 90% of the time.
Would love a multiplayer version of this game >:D

Thanks! Yeah, 8 hours splitted into 1 hour for creating assets and 7 hours spent on rushing to develop. 2 hours max. per day.
I could add 2 additional hours still for finding the right ideas as I wrote a total of 10 game ideas, and decided to go with this one this time. I did skip the additional theme as I wanted to try something I haven't done yet - a sport game.

For something that was made in under 8 hours, this is honestly really good man.
Honestly I have only one complaint, though it's kinda nitpicky considering what you managed to pull off here in that time. It can be a little hard to tell which of the two chicks is you when they're clashing since they look exactly the same.
Either way though, great job on this
Indeed, you're right. I also got confused several time when testing so I'll create another sprite for the opponent like so it is easier to differentiate them.

Have you ever played a console that was quite simple where you swap screens to play as if they were cassettes? This reminded me a lot of that. It's a very good game. I wish you could implement the vs mode later. It would be good for people looking to play with a family member to pass the time. In itch, there are almost no games to share happiness with friends (Multiplayer).
I never played such console but that would have been fun to do so I guess. I will implement the versus mode probably after the jam voting period. This seems like an easy thing to add to me so why not add it. Thanks for your time and playing!
