Love the cut scene work and the story telling but got frustrated with the one life issue. I'm fine with a game being difficult but the opening section looses it's enjoyment when seen multiple times and just feels long. It hurts the story because you don't get to continue it and have to keep going through the same parts over and over. A few checkpoints would be awesome.
Thanks for playing!
While creating this game I felt like it was too easy and skipped out on implementing a life / checkpoint system, but looking at the received feedback I see that that was a mistake and that the dev always plays it the best.
I'll take this feedback to future (jam-)games to improve the quality and user experience.
Dev senpai is too op
Very complete game, with a surprising amount of features to make the story telling better.
Good job!
Thanks for playing! A bit of story for a game jam was hard but fun to do :3
A very serious game, beautifully voiced and drawn. An interesting adventure.
I noticed one bug - if at the beginning you go to the left over the edge of the screen, the player will not return from there, but the game will continue without him.
that’s indeed an issue. The player fall from the world and won’t be able to return, slight oversight ;)
Thanks for playing!
Incredible amount of work, especially regarding audio and story-telling
But I do echo opinions about it being somewhat too hard, especially when the slime is on you
Thank you!
thank you for playing!
The slime on top of the player should’ve killed the player. But I forgot to add a collision box on there XD
Nice game and a vivid melody! Very high-quality arts and smooth animation. I really love it.
Thank you! It was such a struggle to compose with one note at a time, so I'm glad you liked it.
I like the game, but I couldn't finish it. I got frustrated that it's so easy to be killed without the slightest warning (HP reserve, maybe). At least until the point I tried I didn't encounter any checkpoints(I saw a flag that thought it was one, but nope, or it didn't work), which I think could be great specially at the beginning. When you're trying to get used to the game, you don't want to repeat the very beginning again and again.
Apart from this, I think it's a great idea and a fun game. Though nor the game or the music felt relaxing for me, I find both very interesting and pretty worked.
Thanks for trying out Propelled. I appreciate your feedback!
I wanted to make it a bit harder by giving the player only one life. But for a jam game that was a wrong decision.
Oh, it doesn't mean it was a bad decision, I just suggest you warn the player some way. It might seem something very obvious when you know the game, but as a player I had no idea. Although, what I would highlight here is that the beginning felt a bit like a tutorial being repeated again and again every time I died. You could maybe add a checkpoint after this first part, which felt good as an introduction but not good to repeat. Then the player could experiment until they learn without getting so frustrated with this.
This is just my opinion, but I hope it helps. Thanks for replying :)
I loved the audio, very well done. The game did a good job story telling and cinematics. I had a couple issues with this rock landing on me I think and I could no longer jump or climb or use the propellers, I enjoyed everything about this game. Great work!
Thank you!
Thanks for playing.
The “rock” is supposed to be a slime. It should’ve killed the player when it landed on top. But I didn’t implement that :,)
Very cute i like
no you're cute

This game genuinely surprised me, the animations were amazing and the gameplay was nice. The audio was also very good.
Thank you! The audio was very fun to make.
