I like the ways that the islands and enemies are generated. I also like the enemy behaviors; the AI was well designed.
The ship interacted with the map gave a direct sense of how to play the game.
Enemy ai are clever.
I think the map generation adds a lot to the gameplay of this game. The islands feel like a kind of obstacle on the map, and we can use them to avoid enemies.
I like the theme of the game. The fact that you have to defeat all the other ships whether they are friendly or not in order to conquer the islands fit well with the pirate theme.
There are resources, and attack.
The islands looks great and I like how the generation works. The ship's movement is very smooth.
I like the different types of ships/enemies. The different enemy types makes the player choose where to go and what enemies to fight first. For example, I would fight the red ships first because they are the most aggressive and would actively try to attack me. Then, I would attack the yellow ships, then the green ships.

What could this game have done better?
****************************
The island generation could have been more varied and interesting. It would be cool to see different types of environments and biomes on islands.
The map edge could be implemented with a boundary on it. That would be much better.
Weapons do not have to be exactly same DPS. They could be also balanced in other ways.
I noticed in some areas ships can get overcrowded. Maybe the game can limits the number of ships in center area.
The movement could be tweaked to make it seem more natural or shiplike.
The map can also be PCG. The connection between the resources, map, attack and moving mechanism can be more coherent.
The bullets bounce off away from the enemy ships which feels weird. The battle can be more exciting if add more types of ships and firearms.
It seems like the player can sail right off the game world. Maybe you could add some borders to keep the player within bounds. Sometimes the player spawns with a lot of red ships nearby, making it harder at the start.
