Cool little puzzle game!

Interesting game! I included it in my Open Jam compilation video series, if you’d like to take a look. :)

I wish there was a proper .exe so I could play it.

I will try to modify the entry on itch.io, meanwhile you can try and download both files (SomethingRemarkable.Windows.exe and the pkg ) from Bin on the github repo

Jam Judge

I don't know what a lot of this means but I downloaded both files on itch, put them in a foulder, and still couldn't run the game.

Download these two files into any folder. Then just run the exe. Might take some time to launch (took like 20 seconds for me on Windows 10 for some reason) but should work.

Those seem to be both the same files and it still doesnt work. :(

Log says:

Error: Could not load game path '.'.

Yeah, I had some problems getting the links to actually point where they should. Should be fixed now. Seems like you managed to download them while I was still in the middle of editing the message, that was fast :P.

Based on the previous comments I just downloaded the entire Git repository and had no problems running it.

The game was pretty barebones (I took a quick look at the project files and I assume I experienced everything it had to offer), but trying to figure out the maze was fun for a few minutes. As the game was developed using Arch Linux, it of course ran flawlessly on my Arch system as well.

Hmm, the windows build also doesn't seem to work for me.  It won't launch.   alex9099 can you check your build and upload a working one so we can play your game?

Submitted

If you want to try the game before a proper download link is available you can just clone the entire source code repository. It contains both Linux and Windows binaries and all the required assets to run the game.

Jam Host

Ok thanks I'll try that!

I downloaded the Linux build, and tried running it, but it won't start and prints this error: "Error: Could not load game path '.'."

Is there a specific way to launch the game other than making the .bin executable and executing it?

Submitted

Try cloning the source code repository and using the binaries there. I think the download links are missing the assets required to run the game.

Developer

Yea, i think that is it, the binary is "the engine" the other file is the game itself, sorry guys :)
