Use of Open Source AI
We used StableDiffusion AI to generate the tiled background jungle images. All of the characters were generated with Midjourney, and the core gameplay is an adaptation of the open-source "2048" project from 2014. All of the education text in the trading cards were created with ChatGPT4
Theme
The whole concept of the game is about EXPANDING the populations of our planet's endangered wildlife species. We are using the Open-Source AI tools (and open-source javascript code) to create a professional looking, fun, casual game that people WANT to play, while fitting within our tiny conservation budget. We believe that using these AI tools allows us to EXPAND the scope, scale and quality of our Games4Change, Made in Africa Games, without enlarging the budget!

I love the design of the animal cards
a great way to integrate the theme with 2048 and endangered animals. It is indeed a very impressive game under the 48-hour time limit!
Addictive and educational ! I like collecting cards :) !
Thanks! We haven't built anything about what you can DO with the cards but thinking we'll make some sort of collection based game mechanism, battling and trading with them. Appreciate your playing it!
Very nice adaptation and of course very addictive! I like the designs of the little creatures! :)
Thank you. They are all AI generated. So we're the card templates and then we photoshopped them together.
I love this game! I love the 2048 gameplay and the graphics were so fun and playful
Thank you, we agree! It's such a small tweak, but somehow swapping the numbers for cute creatures makes all the difference...
a working recipe, to fight for your cause. Well done
Thanks very much for trying our game and rating it. We really hope this game can make a difference.
This was fun! it's good to see mobile for once, and for a good cause too !
Thanks for trying out the game and giving us your comment & rating! We think there's huge potential for AI GamingForGood - this was a fun exercise...
This is a legit full fledged game! It’s very fun and while at first it looks simple it’s actually very challenging! I got all the way to the Giraffe. I’ll aim to get all of them!! great game!
Giraffe? You're almost there! Keep going! Thanks for playing and rating our game!
It's a fresh take on the 2048 puzzle game and love the greater mission attached to the game.
This was fun. Very addictive!
This is nice. Quit addictive. One thing though, when player can't move anymore it should give a end game screen or something. Just my two cents
I got a 'no more moves' screen.
Fun game with a creative twist of the underlying mechanic ! Loved it.
I am not going to rate. This game does not work on web.
Thanks for your note. I'm sorry to hear this, are you having a problem running it? It's rubbing fine on itch for me... (It's full screen of that is what is confusing you, but it's still very much HTML5 and running on the web, just in full screen mode)
If it's not working for you, please let me know how you are trying. I'm using Chrome on mobile or desktop, both working.
Nope sorry, it did not work on my web browser. Perhaps it could be due to interfierance from extensions. I will try to play this game some time on my mobile bacause I see it is getting many positive reviews. I see you put effort in it, so I'll try to rate it b4 the deadline.
Thank you for trying again - I hope you were able to get it working. It's actually a super fun game, and we hope it gets well received / rated by everyone. Appreciate your putting in the extra effort to see it!
On PC web doesn’t work BUT if you run it from your cellphone web browser it works well!! I suspect the inputs are mapped to the touchscreen instead of the mouse.
Yes - that's right. It's either touch (which is what it's really designed for) or keyboard arrow keys on desktop. ;-)
