I enjoyed the feel here, like the city is on a different wavelength than the author, so it's inhabitants can keep it tidy without being visibly present. I also like how they're kind of friendly to the author, even if it's a bit sinister; I imagine the different author of the last entry will not receive such a welcome!

I love the slow descent of the narrator! Really sells the idea of the inevitability of the loop!
