Description
The hypothetical game I imagined is the story of the first life being in Universe, but the planet where it lives will explode/desintegrate in only one or two thousand years. So, this lifeform need to learn how to breed, make colony, mutate and convert into extremphilia because is the only way to survive in space, until the fragments of the planet, with some cells, land in other habitable worlds.
I made one song for each period of learning, a title song and an ending song.
Three basic ideas:
-a rumbling bass pad represent the home planet, with a little distortion that increase song after song, until detune and turn off in the ending as a sign of world destruction.
-the title theme shows the leitmotiv of life, and each song in game represent how this life develope: suggesting the main theme (learning to breed), including harmony (creation of colony), taking other instruments (mutation) and adaptation to new time signatures and modulation (extremphilia).
-the main theme and the ending will take all the frequency range available in music: from zero octave to seventh octave, representing the life in all the universe.
For composing, I worked in Sibelius. For mixing, the daw selected was Reaper. The VST's choice was DSK libraries, Edirol Orchestral and some of native Reaper's plugins.
Message from the artist:
Music isn't an art, but language.
Theme
How does it fit the theme?
Panspermia, as the life in all the frequency range in music, representing the colony of first cells traveling across the Universe after its planet exploded.

Nice approach! The tracks really reflect the story!
I liked the way you developed the same idea throughout the tracks and conceptualised the colonisation with different "stages" of musicality. I feel however that for a "real" game, more variation could be beneficial in the melody. Keep it up!
Thanks. Yes, I made the tracks only for the jam purpose, but you're right, in a real game surely more tracks will needed.
The soundtrack truly develops the colonization of a new land! I wish mutation was more unsettling, weird and dark
Thanks! The original idea was Mutation turned darkest as you suggest, but I had to change the plan for deliver the proyect in time, so, I made the final version with some kind of "low effort" hahahaha
