Description
Year 2157, Earth has been crushed by climate changed. Mankind is in need of finding another welcoming planet to start civilization once again.
Saisei 再生 (Regeneration) is an exploration game. You'll find yourself on a new dreamy abundant planet, similar but different from Earth. You'll get to know plants, animals and life itself in another form. Collect everything that comes to sight but beware of hungry beasts and poisonous plants.
It's a game of human rebirth. A game of personal regeneration.

An hybrid OST, organic + synthetic, that represents a futuristic nature where humans can build a new society, reassuring and familiar at times, sometimes threatening and obscure.

The OST was composed in Studio One 5 Pro with virtual synths, modular elements, acoustic pianos and organic sounds.

Message from the artist:
We took this world for granted, we should imagine ourselves in a hostile environment to save what's precious in this life.

Theme

Panspermia (Πανσπερμία)

How does it fit the theme?
Panspermia is the theory that live exists throughout the Universe. I've tried to imagine life somewhere else, far from here. Of course I could not leave behind all the sounds and memories from this planet, but I've made everything kind of nostalgic and sometimes even disturbing, always keeping the inner beauty of things.

Very cool compositions! Saisei and Regeneration are my favorite pieces, has a good balance of different melodies to set the vibe and mood. Reminds me a bit of Yasunori Mitsuda's work. Good job!

That is THE biggest compliment! I'm the hugest fan of Chrono Trigger! (how can you not be)

Submitted(+1)

Haha! Yasunori Mitsuda is also my favorite VG composer. Chrono Trigger is a classic! However, what introduced me to his work was Xenogears. He has such a unique style, his work is also one of my inspirations! Nice to see someone who also enjoys his work!

Really enjoyed the main titles, gave me the same "adventure" vibes that some of genshin impact's soundtrack has.

You really capture that blend of organic and synthetic sounds well, really fitting for the exploration of an alien planet you describe

Love the musical theme ! Each track has its own color and it gives a very nice feeling ! The Saisei main title with only this minimalistic piano is really gorgeous ! Well done !

I. Some of the volume levels feel a bit out of balance, and I would run the grittier low-end synths through a filter or two so as not to disturb the piano, which does not stand out much in expressiveness, though it's a nice motif with lots of potential.

II. The kalimba sounds nice, and it's certainly a more fitting texture for the motif than mere piano; I learned that on my work, as well. The second piece in general is superior to the first. The flute's timbre is immaculate, the kalimba's overtones add a dark texture which is just ineffable, and the pentatonic runs in the distance, while introducing the occasionally mismatched dissonance, nonetheless add atmosphere. Everything is mixed together well on this one.

III. Your electronic ambience is very honed on this one, and the chord changes are expressed very mysteriously. I would have loved to hear this one developed further.

IV. You really saved the Beast for Last with this one. I'll have to listen for a second time if a full accounting is to be made. Everything which you've introduced up until this point in terms of instrumentation and composition comes together in a wholly unpredictable manner which is ominous and sedative all at once. This is sophisticated.

Overall: It feels like hearing one composition, over and over again, through various different sonic lenses, as it matures from the acorn to the majestic oak tree. Four Stars in every category.

The mix was definitely rushed. Thank you for taking all this time to listen and comment! I have tried to make something organic and really imagined this immaculate new planet

These definitely captured the feeling of otherwordliness. I like the concept a lot! Great pieces. Exploration brings knowledge was my favorite, it reminded me a bit of Avatar: the Last Airbender. Thanks!
