Description
DAW: Logic Pro
Runtime: 7 Min
I composed each track with Logic pro using some default patches and my own voice in Yo Yoshi!
My favorite part about writing or covering video game music is the instruments that support the melody line. They always add flavor, and they sometimes become more earworms than the actual melody!
Something I learned is that it can be tough covering or remaking music from older games. You have to get creative and let your mind fill in those blanks. It's a challenge to do so, especially when the theme may have been remade already, so you have to find a new way to cover it.

Aw yeah that Mario and Luigi Superstar saga song is truly a throwback. And what a jammin' cover
I love the variety you bring to the table here! The Super Metroid Title Theme and the Super Star Saga songs were my personal favorites and I think they are particularly well done! But I also like how you went for other tracks that were super different as well. Versatility is a positive trait to have as a video game composer. Nice work, man! Keep it up!
Did you use a MIDI keyboard for the lead parts?
Yes! everything in this album was made using either my casio keyboard or my midiplus x6 mini!
Nice covers! I always like to read people's experiences when they create something, seems like we're all facing the same things, but it's so great to finish a piece and let it go ^^
For real. Even now Im revisiting the Come On remake, and I noticed I had left out the snares. I added it in, and the frustration on my face when I finally realized that was what I was missing the entire time! Either way Im happy with the final results!
