Chapter One - The First Disappearance:
A little over a year ago, I had been lying on the ground in a field when suddenly, a small voice spoke into my mind. ‘You are not alone, and we are with you.’ The voice was strange, inhuman. I opened my eyes to see who was speaking, but I could only see darkness around me. I closed my eyes and the voice came back. ‘We are the good guys, your friends. We can’t leave you alone.’
It was still pitch black and I couldn't see a thing. Then, a sound to my right. I heard footsteps walking closer, and I knew they weren’t human footsteps. A small creature appeared. ‘It is I,’ the creature said in a voice that seemed to come from the air. ‘I have been watching you for some time. I have been with you, and I have been with your friends.’
‘You speak to me,’ I said. ‘You know who I am?’ The creature said nothing, but it walked closer to me. I saw its face. Its features were like those of my Otamatone. It had the face of my Otamatone.
