Hopefully not a dumb question

Hi,

I would love to contribute an entry for this game jam...but I have two small problems:

1) I don't own a working Ouya (I will find soon! just cant before Jam time) for playtesting and would require others to test out my build

and

2) My experience is solely on Unity

Would it be possible for someone like me to join your game jam and not be a hindrance to you guys? I would love to contribute but am afraid I may need to much assistance. Is there a place you would point a newer person to Ouya development? I seen their are some Unity plug-ins and a few tutorials but they are from 2012-2013ish and I'm worried they may be outdated.

Thanks

@angrysmile There are no "dumb questions".

I would say, go for it!  Make your game, just be sure to make the apks available for testing during the Game Jam.

Have you checked out our Discord server & Forum?

Here is where you can find us:

I believe also that Unity 5 is the version with the best OUYA support. I don't believe Unity 2019 works so well with it, if at all.

Thank you guys so much. I'm on board and joined after ProHiScore's helpful answer

I took a look at the information provided and installed 5.4.1 and followed one of ToasterKidd's ouya.world post and set it being landscaped left and minimum api to 16. I will finish it the apk the best I can and will definitely need help finishing it up and some play testing help as well.

Currently using Unity 2018.4

Will you be able to build for Android 4.1 on Unity 2018?

I've currently done test runs with complete builds in that version Unity 2018.4.23f1 (64-bit) on the OUYA.

@angrysmile Did you ever end up joining The OUYA Saviors Project Discord channel?  If so, what's your name on there?

Just did it. AngrySmile#5914
