A pleasant, simple RPG where the main challenge is to figure out the mechanics.
Makes very good use of the text-only interface: making the player pay attention to small details of the description; a large variety of rooms and monsters that would be difficult if they all needed graphics; snappy responses.
I really enjoyed the puzzly boss fight.
I agree with the other commenters that it’s too grindy. The end was also disappointing: just “yay you’re done, here’s some bonus goals” with no special result for meeting those goals.
Typo: “the way to to Blornang’s Hall”
Played till the end! Good use of the parser medium with the enemy descriptions and the meta game of figuring out how to efficiently win. Also the goals and overall gameplay loop were really satisfying!
Great fun - Very original take on old text RPGs. Requires a lot of thought to complete. Well done.
I liked it, it's well written and the concept well implemented.... but alas it doesn't have so much variety to keep you going.
But, this could def. still be expanded on.
