Cool game! Here's my feedback:
- Baby game was fun. Zero complaints.
- The shooter game always had my player's vision shifting downwards so I had to constantly move my mouse up
- You could shoot and get all three upgrades in the shooter game.
- The tower defense game took some trial and error to get the controls down but it was good.
- I have no idea how to unlock the final simulation
- The beginning cutscene seems a bit disjointed from the rest in terms of style and vibe.
Overall, this game is great as a collection of minigames if you look past the few errors. However, what confuses me the most is the itch.io page's descriptions. It seems to include information that promises things the game does not provide. First, it mentions lycanthropy multiple times, and unless it was hidden behind the locked simulation, lycanthropy was not in the game. Even if it is, you may want to specify it as clinical lycanthropy, because otherwise I think of the fantasy lycanthropy, which is not real. There are also a lot of features that promise grandiose things, but they all fall short. I did not feel any empathy or compassion bc all the game did was tell me some facts and then give some minigames. The progression system seemed to not be included, as I completed multiple simulatiions but never got any progression. The narrative was also fairly simple, so I did not find it engaging.
Now that being said, I did not find any of these things lacking. I thought the story was good enough, the minigames were fun, and the style was enjoyable. However, when you promise things that your game cannot deliver, it leaves the player disappointed and frustrated. It is better to promise little and achieve a lot than to promise a lot and fail to reach it. My experience of the game would have been twice as good if I had never read the features section, because I would no longer have these expectations that the game cannot deliver. I'd recommend removing that section of the description, since we are still allowed to edit the itchio page until the end of Monday.
Once again, I enjoyed the game! The Baby minigame was my favorite. Just don't make promises in the description! Let the game speak for itself :)
