Have you checked that your GDD is publicly accessible ?
Yes

Is your game set to public on itch.io so we can see it?
Yes

Summarise your game!
This game is a platformer where you traverse through a level as a sentient laser gun. You propel yourself by firing your laser gun and move in the direction of the recoil. To jump you shoot down, to move forward you shoot behind you, and to kill enemies you shoot in front of you, but the recoil will push you backwards.

Please explain how your game fits the theme:
In this game you control a sentient gun so you are literally the weapon. As with real guns, you don't have any arms or legs to move, so your only choice is to shoot in the opposite direction to propel yourself.

Is there anything you'd like the judges to pay particular attention to?
This is my first game and my first game jam and I'm just happy to have something to submit! I built the game entirely in Godot using C++. I know it's not great but it's mine and I'm happy to have done it!

Idk what you are talking about, this game is great! It's simple sure, but it works, and it's fun! I actually really enjoyed the movement. Initially, I didn't really like the instantaneous velocity change, but after playing a little it felt a little natural. I would like to see maybe more varieties of hazards, but besides that it was solid!

Thank you so much, I really appreciate all the feedback! I didn’t even consider that the instant velocity might be weird, but I can definitely see that and maybe adding a high acceleration instead would work better. Yeah with more time I would have wanted to add more hazards, like maybe having the enemies fire back. Thanks for playing and leaving a comment!
