  • GDD starts beautiful, but feels like it lacks the development timeline and the conclusion. Otherwise it is very good. I tried to play the game, but it was very laggy and most objects were flicking in and out of the game. Included the robots. Couldnt play properly for 2 mins first time. Giving that I was playing in a virtual machine for safely reasons that makes sense for this behavior, so you can take this with a grain of salt. However I did tried multiple times for playing the game, and made some observations! The level design were very "loose", so it made the player experience very frustrating. I am not sure if the tutorial was implemented, but it surely feels like it need one. I would like it more if it also have an options menu for music settings, fov setting etc etc. The art design feels interesting. The fact it is inspired by half-life is an automatically win in my book. However I do hope you will continue to polish this to be more stable.

Did you include your Game Design Document in your downloadable files?
Yes

Tell us about your game!
This is a hectic fps game about containing a core that is in meltdown and starting to spread out. Fixing pylons is the only way to contain the core to win. But also keep in mind the lab is breaking down. Handle problems before they spread out of control!

Did you remember to include your Game Design Document?
Yes

Is your game set to Public so we can see it?
Yes

Amazing game, absolutely no notes or nitpicks this thing was polished and clean and well delivered for the 2 week constraint. Everything from the music to the models to the voice acting to the gameplay works incredibly well, and I'd wanna see more of this, somehow, probably not in the setting of "black hole about to destroy lab" because there isn't much follow up to "black hole destroys lab" xD.

Yeah I just hope y'all work on something like this further if you want to this was really fun to play!

This game is TOUGH, but holy smokes does it have character! From the visuals, audio (voiceover and music), to the core mechanics. And conceptually, I LOVE games like this - where the player is thrust into a life or death situation that requires quick thinking, at the cost of potential catastrophe.

This was an absolute joy to play, awesome work!

The only thing that caught me off guard, which maybe was an intended feature, was the throwing of the fire extinguisher. I got that I could throw it, but throwing it high enough to actually extinguish flames that were higher up had me second guessing myself.

The first few goes I just assumed the extinguisher didn't work at all until ended up using it on a flame that was unobstructed, and ground level. After that I was able to reason about it.

Nice!

We will ensure to explain the mechanic to the player in an actual tutorial!
