  • Good game, enjoyable and with lots of potential, however the lack of a tutorial or any kind of guidance hampers the gameplay significantly. Lack of clarity as to how to produce resources, what each resource does etc are all problematic and as such the game doesnt feel as fun to play as its inspirations are. I could see no reference to Its Spreading of any kind in mechanics or writing, just in the GDD.

Mouse and keyboard controls.
Frontier is a survival management game inspired by Frostpunk, where you have to balance the inputs and outputs of the Pathfinder IV's systems. You play as the ship's AI, overseeing it's operations.

The Pathfinder IV is the fourth sleeper ship that Earth has produced. It's long journey to the TRAPPIST-1 system will take it through many dangerous events. To survive, the ship is equipped with numerous systems that consume precious resources. As a result, a balance must be maintained between production and consumption.

Interesting game. It is hard to understand when you are out of energy. Maybe some UI-indication would make up for that...

Thank you for checking out my game! There is a low power notification, but it shows up when you have 5 energy left, which is probably too low. I tried with a sound effect to make it more prominent, but I should have made it more like a constant alarm than an alert.
