  • The game is lovely. The open floor levels could use some more decorative features, like a standing candle sticks or some floor items to help with dodging or escapes. Also to break up the empty space it feels very void. Not sure if the current life system works as intended, but a solid life line were lives could be earned or ingredients could be sacrificed towards instead of being pot based. It makes some of the riskier pots far to put off to use when they're one life as trying them out on a monster means instant death. Other then that, the pots are very interesting, could use a spell counter or max ingredient level. Feels like regardless of how much goes in you only get so much out of it. More tutorial would be a huge boon for this, as some things were easy for me to figure out, may not be for others. Later development with a bestiary book with monster breakdown would help new players learning attacks. The game has very good bones, the maze levels are a blast. Could easily see this being developed easily into a full game. Pixel art looks amazing, just wish there was more! Give me more floor tiles and environments! The vibe is very 80's and 90's arcades, feels good to move. Timing take awhile to get used to but is not bad at all. Very much a gem that needs some more polish. Music? BGM? Could use some if it's not there. May not have uploaded correctly. The sounds effects were good, but could use some pitch adjustments, it gets a very same ish feel after to long.
  • Really liked the isometric view. Liked the animations and small cutscene to introduce the enemy. I just needed a bit more direction in the game. I didn't understand why I wanted to collect anything. Decent game. Great art direction. Keep at it!

The pixel art was great, it was expressive and it was clear that a lot of effort and detail was put into the models. Crystal ball cape wizard is a memorable and unique character design, and I thought he was very cute. I also liked the haunter inspired monsters. The sounds and effects popping up, icon art, and text were polished and distinguished in my opinion.

The mechanics were a little confusing to me, but not understanding them did NOT hinder my ability to play, which was great. What was frustrating was getting one-hit KO'd and starting on the first floor when you died. The haunter hands ambushed me from the darkness and killed me as I did not look ahead with the cursor to light the dark. I found it strange how the cursor lit up the space instead of your character. Also, the regular mobs took too long to kill with the standard jar and delayed the pacing of the game, in my opinion.

It was rewarding to pick up items and combine them in an altar you had to find, I just wish they lasted a little longer, aha! All in all, you all put a lot of effort into this game, and the cover art is phenomenal. Much luck with all!
