- Controls were simple and smooth. I am unsure why the fireball mechanic remained active the whole time. Environmental background music may help engage player more.

A one dimensional game … sort of. The player controls a point on a line to solve puzzles, defeat enemies, combine materials, and navigate levels that are more than meets the eye … directly. A light is shined from the side so the player can see the true depth of the level in the shadows cast on the floor. However, shadows do not reveal all of the details, so the player must use a combination of what they can see in the shadows, and what they can see in the true level to make it to the other end of the line. The player is a fire wizard on a quest to harness the powers of all of the elements to become the first grand master wizard of the elments.

To the judge who rated my game: while I agree this game is a 2 out of 5, I don't understand your scoring. You say the controls are simple and smooth and then rate playability a 2 out of 5? I would also like to know your reasoning for your rating on the other criteria because your feedback is extremely minimal and unhelpful besides the note on sound, I completely agree with that. I don't think this is a good game by any means, and I am fine with the rating, I would just really like some detailed constructive feedback. I thought this game jam was going to help me learn how to make games but instead I have confirmation that my bad game is a bad game and that's it.
P.S. By "fireball mechanic", do you mean the light that creates the shadow dimension? If so, I am extremely disappointed in your inability to play a game that you are supposed to be scoring. It shouldn't be my fault that you failed to read the explanation of the thing you don't understand.
This is a great concept and I love the way the shadowy platforms look. Excellent interpretation of the theme!
Thank you :D
I was worried people wouldn't get it. I hope I can get a real level or two finished before the end of the jam (22 hours from now). I hope you return after the jam is over and let me know what you think about it with the final updates :)
Happy developing!
Little to no instructions in the game to know what to do. Should do a UI tutorial before the game starts so the player can have some grasp on it.
Thank you for your feedback :D
This game is currently still in development and I am working on a title screen, intro, and controls display right now.
I hope you revisit the game when new updates are available to give continued feedback.
I hope to have something that resembles a game by July 31st (the end of the game jam that this is a part of) please come back then to tell me what you think!
