- It's a shame that the game wasnt in a playable state at the end of the jam, but GDD is really impressive-looking! That being said, the fact that it could open the game and move objects around is good. That means ya have a building block to build post-jam!
- For a first game this is really good! I looked over your GDD and I hope you will continue making that game because it sounds very interesting and I would actually like to play it once it's out! I like the art style and the whole idea behind it. Your GDD looks really good, explains your ideas and gives a good insight into your work process. Well done, please do keep making games! It's always great to hear people had fun and learned a lot, this is what the game jam is about :)

Tell us about your game!
You’re a mage in need of expensive material components and have turned to using some shady get-rich-quick spells to transmute lead into gold. Use your ill-gotten gains to activate the rune for your next ritual before you attract the attention of thieves.
Gold in the Shadows is a casual 2D puzzle game where you merge materials to activate tiles on a 6x6 grid. You need to manage your resources and deal with thieves coming to steal your gold.
Extra Notes
This is my first game jam and my first time learning Godot :D I'm new to game dev and whilst my game is not in a playable state, I had so much fun learning how to make my first game.
Thank you so much for organising this game jam and for encouraging me to start my game dev journey! Thank you judges for taking the time to look at everyone's entries :)

Thanks for the encouragement!! 🙌 I'll stick at it :D
This is an awesome effort for your first crack at game dev.
While what you have is not a finished game, what is there is good and not janky at all.
Well Done! Keep it up!
Thanks so much! 🙌 I'm going to keep learning and making games - I'll definitely revisit this and make a fully playable demo when I learn how :D
