- While I was able to pick up on the controls quickly, and gather that traversing the dungeon and collecting items and defeating enemies were integral to the gameplay and/or story, in the beginning, I wasn't able to interact with the wizard character at all, so I didn't fully grasp what was specifically needed, nor was I able to fully figure out how to escape. Not sure if this is an issue on my end (even though, again, the controls are easy to follow), or if something else was going on. I'd say this was my only 'issue' while playing. I very much found the art style of this entire game to be appealing everywhere I went. And listening to the music the entire time was just icing on top of it all. I may have to play again to see if I can get the beginning portion to work. Really good stuff, all the same

Back to the Dungeon with You! A first-person dungeon crawler in the spirit of many beloved retro franchises.
An alchemist keeps you locked up in his basement, forcing you to journey deeper and deeper into his personal dungeon. In the dungeon, you must battle monsters and return with whatever materials he requests of you.
The game is inspired by the art style of NES Castlevania games, the dungeon crawling aspect of Zelda, and gameplay that is familiar to Doom.
Controls are very simple, Move with WASD and Attack with Left Mouse Click. You can Jump with Spacebar and Interact with E. You can also Hide quest with F, and pause with Tab.
Controller works as well! Jump with A/Left Bumper, Interact with X, and Attack with Right Trigger/Right Bumper. You can also Hide quest with Y, and Pause with the Start button.
Extra Notes
Would have loved to make this more of a roguelike. Shops and a deeper exploration loop was planned, but fell behind by 5 days since first team did not participate.
However, the Pirate Software discord came in clutch and I found some awesome teammates to help put stuff together with only a week left! Thank you for all you do for this community!

Great job, this was fun to play! Controls felt good, level design was great, platforming was really fun, and the art and music set a really good atmosphere. The only thing I would add is a little more variation to the combat system, but otherwise great work!
Just a note, it is a little bit more platformy than it looks!
