  • Clever use of combining elements to create colors to repel shadows. Confusing mechanics at first, but simple enough after you get the hang of it. Good looking assets that fit well with the story.

A medieval-themed aesthetic with progressively darkening environments to increase urgency, accompanied by a classic soundtrack and interactive sound effects.

This game combines strategic alchemy-based puzzle-solving with an immersive narrative set in a world on the brink of eternal darkness.

Story :

Apprentice,

Tragic news darkens our doorstep. Your mentor, an esteemed Ethereal Engineer, has fallen to the encroaching shadows of the Shadowveil. The veil's power intensifies, and in your guardian's absence, the Arcane Sentries have activated the Veilbane Protocol to temporarily repel the darkness.

This respite is short-lived. Our bastion's light dwindles without the guardians' vigilance. Though you are but recently initiated, the charge now falls to you. You must rise quickly to meet this peril.

Proceed with haste to the central atrium. Your accelerated training in the ancient arts of elemental alchemy begins now. We have little time, and the shadows grow bold.

Extra Notes
This is our second game jam ever! We were excited to participate in the Pirate Software Game Jam, and this is what we came up with for the 15th edition, themed "Shadows and Alchemy".

The project was created by a team of two : Accoudidi and Zcorpion.
Please be aware that due to the 200MB size limit imposed by itch.io, we were required to reduce the number of assets significantly to ensure the game fits within browser constraints. We apologize if this adjustment affects the visual quality. Thank you for your understanding. :)

A cool idea matching the theme well, especially the alchemy part.

I have some chemistry knowledge but i dont think that helped me with this game xD

Most of the time i did really have a clue what i was doing, just trying to get the color the game told me to get.
Maybe it would be nice if, when trying to use an element on a tool, it indicates what the result would be?

Other than that, cool concept for a puzzle game.
