  • It is very cute game with interesting take in the theme, interesting way of puzzle mechanics. It just seemed that it was a bit too slow pasted. Puzzles could get a bit more difficult with each level. Great submission!

“From Your Shadow” is a puzzle-platformer about a young penguin’s journey in search of the secret to flight. The player navigates the ancient ruins of light with the help of Shadow: a companion with the ability to climb shadows. The story follows the two characters as we learn about their personalities, goals and insecurities, slowly learning to accept themselves the way they are.

HOLY MOLY I did not expect that. You're a great writer and storyteller.

I love puzzle platformers and haven't seen quite this mechanic before, it was fun to explore. In most games, falling off of platforms is what you want to avoid, and here it's a superpower where you don't start with the ability to fall off of platforms at all. It makes the puzzle design interesting for sure!

Sometimes the pacing of moving around the level felt slow, and I think part of that is the emptiness of the sound and visuals, so there's nothing to look at or listen to or vibe with while you wait for a platform to come your way. But you clearly put your time into putting together multiple levels with a hard-hitting story, and it's so worth playing to the end. I loved it.
