  • The soundtrack for the game is one of the best I've heard. Suuuuuuuper good. The game is harsh, but I wanted to give it a go. I think there were some UI problems with the tutorial text. I wasn't able to see what to do with the potions as the text was above where I could read. My only other complaint is that potions and a shadow person are both kind of weak in terms of theme implementation. If you had made alchemy and/or shadows the main part of the mechanics, you would have scored a bit higher there. The puzzles for the game are really fun. It was just a good time for the time I had allotted to play it. You should be really proud of the work you've done here. A really fun game! Keep at it!

Tell us about your game!
This is the first game that i ever published, unfortunately is unfinished, but i wanted to submit it anyway to show my progress anyway.
The game is a fast platformer where you use different potions to assist on your adventure

Extra Notes

Nice choice on the music! I like the idea that things like the double jump would require you to aim and throw a potion where you want to get access to a higher jump!

I also appreciate that you actually made the fire spread on nearby wooden crates! It's a nice touch! One thing to point out is that I died on the wood maze and couldn't use the fire potion anymore when I respawned. As I also couldn't go back to the other room, I had to reload the game.

I feel like for a game that has a little more focus on precision platforming, having a camera that follows the player without having to catch up could be a better choice, so that they're able to be always aware of what's around them.

The character controls well and the visual effects of the potions themselves were also good picks!

Whilst time constraints are a part of jams, I understand the frustration of not completing something in the way you meant to, in that timeframe. But know that you already are a winner for having posted this. This will also serve as experience for future jams, if you're ever to join any (and I think that you should)!

Well done on making a game, and keep making stuff! You rock!

Yo this game is fun! loved the music and I really liked how the potions worked and looked. I could not find one if there is one but a volume slider would be nice. overall really good work!

Thanks! The music is not mine i left the credits to the music pack in the description, the potions were my biggest struggle but im glad you like them (they're not perfect thought i had to erase some code before posting it because some things weren't working properly). you´re right about the volume though ill add a volume slider later. Thanks for playing it!
