  • You have a good base for a game here! With a little bit of work, it could be extremely fun to play! A few things to note: There should be a limit to how many enemies can be on the map at a time. I eventually ran into so many that it caused the entire game to start lagging out. Not only that, but the main attack is too weak. In a game like this, ideally, you want to constantly be killing things and upgrading your weapon or gaining new skills. It's difficult to do so when the most basic enemies take 3-4 very slow hits to kill. There isn't even a good way to pick up the reagent unless you circle around the entire map and even then, due to the sheer amount of enemies, it's a challenge. Over all, it's a good start! Keep it up!

The last tower is a shoot'em. The story is about a wizard trying to clean his tower because a rival Wizard used his shadow spells.

Extra Notes
Unfortunately, the game is not finished, and some mechanics are unfinished. :(

Even though this is unfinished, I quite like the idea of your field of view being limited by light. And there is a seed of fun mechanic with how powerful you become after equipping 2 fires.

What immediate improvements could be made:

  • At the beginning game feels really underwhelming. It takes forever to kill one enemy, and there are so many of them it’s hard to focus just one. So make the starting weapon’s fire rate like x5 faster, and make enemy spawn rate start small and increase over time.
  • Some visual/audio feedback could be nice. Like animate enemy scale when he gets hit, or add screen shake when player gets hit.
  • You could make some simple enemy variations. I.e. make an enemy with bigger spite, more HP and slower speed.

Honestly, if you check out other jam submissions of the same genre, you can find a lot of neat ideas. And your game definitely has potential!
